Toby, roho mpole waliiacha

Toby was left tied to a post, without food or water, under the scorching sun. We found him barely standing, his eyes filled with trust he still hadn’t lost. Thanks to people like you, Toby got medical care, food, and love. Now he’s healing, slowly learning that not all humans walk away.
Toby was tied up outside an empty building. The rope around his neck was so tight it had started cutting into his skin. His tongue was dry and cracked from dehydration. His fur was patchy and his legs were shaking from weakness.
But when we got close, he wagged his tail. Just once. He didn’t bark, he didn’t growl. He just looked at us like he was asking, “Are you really here for me?”
We took him straight to the clinic. The vet gave him fluids and cleaned his wounds. He was so quiet. He just watched us. The first night, he fell asleep with his head on one of our volunteer’s laps.
After a few weeks, Toby’s body started to heal, but what amazed us most was how quickly he gave love. He followed our team everywhere, sat next to us during lunch, and laid his head on our legs whenever we rested.
Today, Toby lives with a retired couple who take him on long walks and let him sleep in their bed. He’s the most gentle, grateful soul you’ll ever meet. The kind of dog that makes you feel lucky just to know him.
All he needed was a second chance. And someone like you gave it to him.
